An independent family run business, since 1976, Langhorns offers various ranges of standard sized furniture in both contemporary and traditional designs.
Specialising in rustic & painted furniture, our 'Own Brand' solid wood designs are exclusively handmade to order by a selection of small local workshops.
If the standard pieces in our ranges don't suit, most items can be 'made-to-size' or produced to more bespoke requirements.
With many years experience in furniture design, we have built up close working relationships with a network of local workshops and suppliers. Who exclusively produce to our standard & bespoke furniture designs.
This has allowed us to specialise in supplying what the customer wants. Making to size, layout, finish & functional requirements when needed. While still maintaining the personal service & after sales support traditionally expected of a local family business.
We are very proud to say that all of our 'Own Brand' furniture is handmade to order in Britain.
Established in 1976, as the 'Pine Centre Chester', we first opened at 61 Bridge Street, below Chester's historic Rows.
One of the very first stores to bring quality solid pine furniture to Chester & the region, we have always made a conscious effort to source furniture from local workshops, made to our own designs.
As our customer base, reputation & business grew through the 1970s & 80s, so did the requirement for larger premises. In 1987 we relocated to Pepper Street, where you'll find us today.
In 1999, largely due to market trends and the resulting changes to our product line, we made the decision to re-brand to our new trading name 'Langhorns'.... a family name.
